If you think you must have the vacuum advance, throw out the 6 box and run the MSD ready to run 8360 distributor. It does not work with the 6 box (unless you lock out the distributor).

Witryna29 cze 2009 · I want to lock out my timing because with the largest bushing that msd has gives 18* of advance. My motor likes 20* initial and possibly even more. That puts my total timing at 38* and it should be closer to 35-36*. I guess with the bigger cams they require more initial advance, but with more initial also means more total. Witryna21 mar 2024 · Upon initial start-up my timing was way too advanced - about 10 degrees. Motor wants to die the closer I move to the right timing marks (10-16 at idle or 32-34 at rev). Called Blueprint and they recommended locking out the advance. Said that much advance could do catastrophic damage. Instrux on Page 4, Fig 7.
